One of the great things about doing a talk show is the wonderful people you meet along the way. That is certainly true with Caroline Sunshine, Deputy Communications Director for the Trump for President campaign, and Tommy Pigott from the Republican National Committee.
I have known Tommy since the 2020 campaign for President Trump and have just gotten to know Caroline during the last few months. As people, they are both simply wonderful. As professionals, they bring great insight to our morning discussions about the Trump campaign for President in 2024.
Like so many people I work with consistently, we do it by phone. On occasion, I meet them in person at events like the Republican National Convention, or a campaign stop by President Trump.
It was a great pleasure to meet Caroline and Tommy face-to-face. If you follow my morning show regularly, you know that Caroline had been on my show the Thursday we left for Milwaukee. She was back home in South Carolina visiting with her Mom and two brothers. At some point, I said, “Can you put Mom on the phone?”
We had a great time with her two brothers, big tennis fans like me, were wonderful on-air. A wonderful family, who are clearly proud of the work Caroline is doing.
Tommy has joined me close to 50 times on-air over the last four years. He is a consummate professional yet has a good sense of humor and of the moment when he talks about issues.
Below is our interview from Media Row at the RNC in Milwaukee Wisconsin.
